Home to the SCC Tour

We are a friendly Sunday Golf Society which plays golf tournaments throughout Kent, Surrey & Sussex. Join the SCC Tour and compete for a chance to become The Southern Counties Cup Champion. We currently play around 22 tournaments each year.

SCC Tour Swings

Our tournaments are Stableford format and our Order of Merit is split into 4 sections, or 'Swings' as we like to call them. They are: The Winter Swing, The Spring Swing, The Summer Swing & The Autumn Swing.

Each Swing consists of 4 tournaments. The winner of each Swing is entered into The Swing Finale tournament, in which the winner of this tournament will be crowned The Southern Counties Cup Champion.

From 2010 The SCC Tour season starts in mid June with The Summer Swing. Then The Autumn Swing, The Winter Swing and The Spring Swing. The season finally ends the following June at The Season Finale.

SCC TourTracker

New for the 2009 season is The SCC TourTracker. Now you can enter your statistics for Fairways Hit, Greens in Regulations, Sand Saves etc.

Compare your stats against other members, See how many Putts per Round you take. Find out if you play Par 3's better or worse than the Par 4's or Par 5's.

Review your statistics from a round to see where you can focus your practice to knock shots off your handicap

Exclusives

We have 4 Majors each year which are open to Members only. The SCC Masters, which is a Strokeplay tournament played over 36 holes. The SCC Invitational. A Stableford tournament over 36 holes, split over 2 days. The SCC Invitational usually involves an overnight stay at a hotel and is played outside our usual counties.
If that's not enough for you, there are also The SCC Matchplay. A tournament spread over most of the season, in which members battle it out in Singles Matchplay format. New for 2010 is The Foxbridge Season Classic. A SCC Major where the players nominate one round from The Summer Swing, The Autumn Swing & The Winter Swing for their first 3 rounds. The final round is played at Foxbridge Golf Club in West Sussex. This is our only Major over 4 rounds of golf

The winners of these 4 Majors will go into the season ending SCC Players Championship.

We also have The MB Ryder Cup. A Ryder Cup style tournament in which two teams will compete in a matchplay format. in 2008 & 2009 SCC played against TeeOff Golf Society. We won both MB Ryder Cups. 14.5-9.5 in 2008 and 14-10 in 2009.

Come Along

We always welcome new members and it only costs £10 per year for membership. If you don't have a handicap, don't worry. After 3 rounds with us you will receive your SCC Handicap. We use HandicapMaster™ software, which is used by many clubs and societies. It doesn't matter if you're already a member of a club or not, many of our members also belong to a golf club. Or if you are new to golf, or just getting back into it after some time away from the game. We look forward to meeting you.
