SCC Constitution

Name of Society
Southern Counties Cup Golf Society. (SCC Golf Society).

Objective
To play various Golf Courses throughout the South East of England. Thus deciding the annual winner of the Southern Counties Cup.

Membership
Membership Shall be open to:
Any person wishing to abide by the constitution and the Rules and Etiquette laid down by SCC Golf Society. Handicap limits are Men: 28 and Women: 36

Application for Membership
All applications forms should be completed online, or printed out and posted to the society address. Membership fee must be sent to the society address. The committee shall determine acceptance of membership.

Disipline/Sanction Procedures
In the unlikely event of a complaint being received, and upheld, from a golf club we have visited or from another SCC Golf Society member due to a members conduct either on the course or in the clubhouse, one written warning will be given about their behaviour. If the society receives another complaint about the same member and that complaint is also upheld, the said member will be ejected from the society. If any member is ejected, they will not be eligible to take part in any future SCC Golf Society tournaments. An ejected members membership fee will not be refunded.

Dress Code
It is each members responsibility to be aware of the Dress Code and restrictions (eg. spikes, short & socks) at any Golf Course they attend.

Acceptance of Membership
All members should be aware of, and follow, the Rules of Golf (as laid down by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews), the Constitution and Etiquette as laid down by the Southern Counties Cup Golf Society. SCC Golf Society reserve the right to suspend membership at any time.

Handicaps
Members not holding a Club Handicap will have to submit 3 Competition cards to obtain their handicap. The 3 cards will determine their handicap with the 3rd card counting on the SCC Order of Merit.
Members holding a Club Handicap will have to submit proof of club handicap and 1 Competition card to obtain their SCC handicap.
Handicaps used within the society are not notified to the home golf club of any member, and therefore have no impact or bearing on an official CONGU handicap.
